Bienvenue à la French School

The French School, an extension of the French Institute of the North Shore, is a total French immersion program that offers a unique environment for children to acquire one of the greatest gifts: the ability to learn a second language. Founded in 1998, the French Institute has become the premier French language school for adults. Building on the success of the French Institute, and a resounding need in the community for quality French language education for young children, the French School opened its doors in 2003.

Located in the heart of Winnetka and Chicago’s suburban North Shore community, the French School provides an alternative to traditional preschool. Our stimulating and well-rounded curriculum allows children to reach their full potential while giving them the priceless gift of a second language.
